π What your child gets
Your child holds a reserved seat in a class of six or fewer, at the same day and time every week. Enrollment includes:
- Weekly class instruction in a group of six or fewer
- A skills assessment before starting, and a learning plan built from it
- Practice work and homework matched to your child’s actual level, not their grade
- Daily tracking of the specific skills your child is working on
- A written progress report every month
- A goals meeting at the start of the year and a check-in in January
- Monthly parent workshops on study habits and supporting learning at home
You are enrolling in a program. You are not buying a set number of hours.
How payment works
Tuition is charged automatically to a card on file, on the same date every month. Your billing date is the date you enroll, and it stays the same from then on.
The amount is the same every month. It does not change based on how many classes fall in a given month, because some months have four class days and some have five. Tuition is the annual cost of the program divided into twelve equal payments, the same way tuition works at a preschool or a music school.
You get an emailed receipt every time. You can cancel anytime from a link in any receipt.
How we teach, and who this is not for
We let students work through hard problems on their own instead of handing them the answer. A student who is stuck on a problem for four minutes is not a student being neglected. That is the moment the learning is happening, and stepping in too early takes it away from them.
This means your child will sometimes come home frustrated. It also means that after a year here, they can sit with a problem they do not immediately know how to solve, which is the skill that actually separates strong math students from weak ones.
If you are looking for someone to walk your child through their homework each week, we are not the right fit, and we would rather tell you that now.
Getting started
Every student starts with a free placement assessment. It takes about 45 minutes. We use it to find out where the real gaps are, which is often two or three grade levels below where a parent expects.
After the assessment we sit down with you, go through what we found, and recommend a class. You decide from there. No payment happens before that conversation.
